Our furniture store in the little Village of Bonnie, IL, has been around since 1926. Although over the years the store has changed ownership a handful of times, the quality, service, and tradition of small-town friendly service has never changed. The store was purchased in 2016 by Dean Taylor and his wife Cathy. Sadly, Cathy passed away unexpectedly a year after the purchase. Dean has since kept the vision he and Cathy had by growing the store to be bigger and better than it ever was. The property consists of three renovated showroom buildings. Dean is really proud of the accomplishmentsv thus far, and we are positive Cathy would be proud and stamp her approval.
Dean spent 33 years in sales before retiring to take on the furniture store with his late wife. Being in sales for that long, Dean’s transition into selling furniture was fairly easy. Dean’s motto is be fair, and take care of the customer during, and after the sale.
The staff consists of full and part time employees. Donna Goldman is our lead sales person, and brings years of valuable furniture experience to our team. Donna is well-educated in furniture, bedding, and is a huge asset, as she is a certified designer. Chuck Curry has been with Dean from the start of ownership and wears many different hats. Chuck is in charge of day-to-day operations for furniture repairs, part ordering, delivery scheduling, shipping and receiving of merchandise, property maintenance, and is capable of jumping in and helping with sales. Thomas Mack is our full-time delivery man and assists Chuck with many tasks. Thomas proudly served in the United States Marine Corp. To round out the staff, Chad Hampton is a full-time sales associate, and assists Dean with daily store operations. On select days you may run into our part time sales associates Laura Henson or Michelle Hampton. Laura is Dean’s wife and she fills the roles of sales, bill paying, and payroll. Michelle is married to Chad and has taken on sales, apart from being a school teacher.
